Dr Matthew Pennick is an experienced and enthusiastic General Practitioner who places patients at the centre of their care. He is committed to ensuring patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in decisions about their health. Through clear communication and a collaborative approach, he works with patients to develop personalised management plans and build strong, long-term therapeutic relationships.
Dr Pennick completed his medical training in the United Kingdom in 2010. He subsequently gained extensive experience working in hospitals across northern England, with a particular focus on acute medicine and cardiology. In 2023, he achieved Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) and went on to practise in a semi-rural general practice in Yorkshire before relocating with his family to the Central Coast. His broad clinical background enables him to provide comprehensive, high-quality care across a wide range of health conditions.
While Dr Pennick enjoys all aspects of general practice he has particular interests in cardiology, men's health, chronic disease management, and aged care. His experience includes several years working as a cardiology registrar, managing heart failure patients within his previous practice, and conducting comprehensive health assessments for residents in aged care facilities.
Outside of medicine, Dr Pennick enjoys spending time with his two young children and his wife. When time permits, he enjoys reading and bushwalking, and he is looking forward to taking up kayaking and exploring more of the Central Coast's natural beauty.
